Finding the perfect gifts for your loved ones is not always straightforward, especially if you are time poor. This year, Discover Letchworth has commissioned a range of special gifts inspired by Letchworth Garden City, which are now on sale.
The Letchworth on Canvas calendar for 2020 showcases paintings drawn from the rich archives of the Garden City Collection, making the perfect gift for family and friends at home and abroad. You may find one or more of these works on display at the new micro museum; Museum at One Garden City, located at One Garden City, Broadway.
Our beautiful Christmas card this year has been designed by cut paper and collage artist, Vanessa Stone. Vanessa is well known locally, having lived in Letchworth for 23 years, and her work has captured some of the Garden City’s most iconic buildings and green open spaces. For every card sold, 10 per cent will go The Heritage Foundation’s Charity of the Year, The Letchworth Foodbank.
The artist’s love of the Garden City can be seen in the card’s imagery, and across the range of gifts that she designed for the launch of Discover Letchworth, including a set of tea towels, an apron and mugs.
If you’re looking for something unique to fill your stockings, we have a range of Fairtrade ‘Felt so Good’ keyrings hand made in Nepal which includes a little black squirrel made exclusively for Discover Letchworth, bee mix wildflower seed balls, coasters and table mats printed with archived maps of the town, pencils and notebooks and many more items imbued with Letchworth history.
