The group’s aim is to support actively the work of the RSPB in the local community and to involve RSPB members and the wider public in the Society’s conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities. We have monthly indoor meetings locally between September and May and arrange outdoor meetings, including coach trips and local walks throughout the year.
So, if you would like to have fun and meet like-minded people contact us and help make a difference for birds and wildlife.
Meeting times and costs
We have decided to return to our standard ‘face to face’ indoor meetings at ‘The Settlement’ and field trips by coach, from the start of our 2021 – 22 season in September. Obviously the Covid-19 pandemic is still not over and we may have to change our plans (we have retained our ‘Zoom Pro’ licence, just in case), but we are hopeful that we can return to ‘normality’ after an 18 month gap. We will be planning a programme of indoor and outdoor meetings through the summer and these will be publicised on our Events page and our Facebook page, as soon as they have been finalised.
