Meet like-minded people over a convivial meal. Enjoy fascinating talks on a wide range of topics. Be part of an international organisation that has played a major role in the near elimination of polio, supports relief work in disaster zones, and works in our local community for local causes.
Forget the stereotypes. Ignore the caricatures. Rotary is for everyone, for men, for women, for the young, for the retired, for all groups and creeds – maybe for you.
Partners are always welcome at meetings. An alternative social event sometimes replaces the regular meeting.
Events coming up include our charity darts challenge in November, for which entries are now invited (email Alan Fraser at alanf@letchworthrotary.org.uk or phone 01462 685448); a Christmas choral concert at Letchworth Free Church; a quiz night; a film night; and talks on, among many other topics, being a British policeman in Afghanistan, an insider’s view of Wimpole Hall and the National Trust, life in New Zealand, React (the charity for children with a potentially terminal illness), and a minister’s eye view of the lighter side of church life. Guests are always welcome if you let us know in advance (secretary@letchworthrotarty.org.uk).
Membership of Rotary is an enjoyable and rewarding experience and a great opportunity to meet people and extend your circle of friends. More than that, it provides an opportunity to help others in the local community and, via the Rotary Foundation Charity, many others worldwide.
We are non-political and non-sectarian.
