Letchworth District Gardeners Association (LDGA) was formed in 1906 to promote horticulture to the residents of Letchworth Garden City and the surrounding areas. Today, they have around 700 members with a keen interest in gardening of all types – flowers, fruit and/or vegetables, grown either at home or on an allotment.
Becoming a member sees you have access to the following:
- Monthly evening talks on wide range of garden related topics
- Summer outings and events
- Monthly coffee mornings
- Two produce shows per year
- Quarterly Compost Heap newsletter
- Best prices on all your gardening products at our members only trading store
- 10% discount off all items from the garden centre and tea room at Tapps
- ‘Mini Plot’ allotments for hire.
- All for only £6 per household per year
The Association’s main meetings are every third Thursday evening of the month from January to November and usually take place at The Cloisters, Barrington Road, Letchworth, SG6 3TH.
We also have a more informal gathering every first Wednesday morning of the month at Tapps Tea Room, Wallington Road, Baldock, SG7 6RS.
Our members only trading store is open every Sunday morning until 31st October at Norton Allotments, Flint Road, Letchworth, SG6 1HJ.
