The LJAS (Letchworth Jazz Appreciation Society) is a group of jazz enthusiasts who meet to listen to great recorded jazz on CDs and other media. 

We enjoy listening to a very diverse range of jazz styles, artistes and periods. At each meeting a member presents a themed programme of his or her favourite jazz tracks, followed by several short less formal items from others. We have full access to the Club bar, with drinks at reasonable prices. We have an extensive library of CDs, Books and Jazz DVDs that members may borrow, and there is usually a raffle with very generous selection of Jazz CD prizes for those who wish to participate.

New members are most welcome. If you are interested in jazz, come and try a first meeting free. 

• Membership costs £10 for the year, (£15 couples) plus a small charge (£4 members £6 non-members) for each meeting to cover the cost of the room hire
• Plus, members joining in 2021 get the whole of 2022 free!

Our meetings are usually on the last Tuesday of each month, at 7pm for 7.30pm at the Garden City Brewery, 22 The Wynd, Letchworth Garden City, SG6 3EN.
